The programme produce a cadre of laboratory technologists who will be capable to supervise and manage diagnostic,research,and training laboratories. These graduates can work and meet the demand of the public and private sectors involved in biomedical, biotechnology research and development in health, agriculture, forensics, pharmaceuticals, environment and food industries. These experts are made to produce reliable and accurate scientific information and use of high-tech laboratory instruments

- Graduates will be able to meet the demand of the public and private sectors involved in biomedical and biotechnology research and development.
- Such graduates will be resourceful in diverse research and Development institutions and industries dealing with basic science and applicants in fields such as health, agriculture, forensics, pharmaceuticals, environment management and food industries.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Two principal passes (4 points) in Chemistry and Biology whereas, an applicant must have a subsidiary in one of the following subjects: Physics, Geography, Nutrition or Agriculture. In addition, an applicant must have a minimum of “C” grade in one of the following subjects: Physics, Geography, Nutrition or Agriculture at O-Lev- el OR Diploma in Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Veterinary Laboratory Technology, Applied Biology, Applied Chemistry, Animal Health, Animal Production Wildlife, Agriculture, Fisheries, For- estry or Bee-Keeping with an average of “B” or a minimum GPA of 3.0. In addition, an applicant must have a minimum of “D” grade in Biology one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Agriculture or Geography at O-Level.
