Morogoro Regional Commissioner, Hon. Loata Ole Sanare, today 7th August, 2020, visited the Sokoine University of Agriculture Exhibition pavilion Personally to see the various technologies exhibited by SUA researchers for the benefit of Tanzanian farmers and pastoralists.
Hon. Sanare has made the visit privately to get the opportunity to learn in depth instead of relying on the official visits organized by the exhibitors at the exhibition in the Eastern Region in Morogoro Region.
During the visit, Hon. Sanare was very much impressed by the good work being done by Sokoine University of Agriculture’s researchers in finding solutions to various challenges facing farmers and pastoralists to increase productivity.
The Morogoro Regional Commissioner said Morogoro Region has been fortunate to have Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) so the Region and Farmers must use the university's experts to improve their agriculture and animal husbandry.
"We are very grateful to the government for deciding to extend the exhibition for two days. This will give many stakeholders the opportunity to visit the exhibition and learn but as a Region, we want to establish a system where we will have our own exhibition to give an opportunity for more people to learn instead of waiting for nane nane only ” noted Hon. Sanare.
However, after seeing the good things in the SUA pavilion, he promised to bring his entire family to visit the exhibition, especially the SUA pavilion so that they can learn simple and modern farming innovation and technologies.
Sokoine University of Agriculture is participating in the National Agricultural Exhibition in Simiyu Region as well as eastern zonal exhibitions in the Morogoro Region.
