LEARNING OUTCOME
At the end the programme, the graduates are expected to be able to:
- Manage both small and large scale aquacultures
- Sustainably manipulate aquatic environments for better commercial aquaculture results
- Explore new technologies for sustainable aquaculture production through research
- Solve problems in aquaculture production systems using scientific principles and tools.
- Demonstrate legal and ethical aspects of aquaculture.
Learn to read and protect fist for improved community nutrition and financial gains.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Two principal passes (4 points) in Biology and one in the following subjects: Agriculture, Chemistry, Physics or Geography. OR Diploma in Aquaculture, Fisheries, Natural Sciences, Animal Husbandry, Animal Production, Wildlife, Animal Environmental Health or Agriculture with an average of “B” or a minimum GPA of 3.0. In addition, an applicant must have a minimum of “D” grade in two science subjects at O-Level.
