On July 23, 2019, the Deputy permanent secretary in the ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Prof. James Mdoe visited Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) where he spoke with staff and university management.

Prof. Mdoe and his delegation also had the opportunity to visit and receive progress report from several development and research projects which is being implemented at the university campuses including the construction site for a new multipurpose laboratory building which has a capacity of accommodating more than 600 students at once.

Other project visited was the African Centre Health of Aquatic Resources which is being implemented by the experts and researchers from the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS)
