The Diploma produce competent and effective information managers and providers with ICT applications in an ever- changing information environment. These graduates are demanded in the information and Library market in government, private and non-governmental organizations, libraries, media houses and information and documentation centers
ABOUT PROGRAMME
LEARNING OUTCOME
By the end programme, students should able to:
- Demonstrate understanding of key concepts, principles and theories in information and library
- Exhibit ability to manage small and medium sized libraries as well as documentation and information centres.
- Demonstrate ability to use ICT applications in managing and providing information and library services
- Show awareness of contemporary and emerging issues in information and library science.
Join and learn to manage the knowledge centres in actual and virtual context.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education with at least one Principal Pass in one of the following: Mathe- matics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Science and Practice of Agriculture, Geography, Economics, Commerce, History, English, French and Kiswahili OR Certificate in Librarianship/ or other relevant disciplines with a minimum of 2nd class and Ordinary Certificate of Secondary Education passes in at least 4 subjects.
