New SUA Council Chairperson Leads His First Meeting at the University

Mr. Andrew William Massawe, the newly appointed Chairperson of the Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) Council, chaired the 181st Council Meeting held on June 30, 2025. The meeting was attended by Council Members and the University Management.

New SUA Council Chairperson Leads His First Meeting at the University

This was Mr. Massawe’s first official visit to SUA since his appointment by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, on May 6, 2025.

He takes over from Hon. Mohamed Chande Othman, Retired Chief Justice, who completed his term of service as Chairperson of the Council.

SUA congratulates Mr. Massawe and looks forward to his leadership in advancing the university's mission.
