On Wednesday 30th October 2019, the Chairman of the Council of University of Dar Es Salaam (UDSM) Judge Damian Lubuva (Retired) visited Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) with the aim of learning and strengthening relationships and partnerships between the two institutions.
He was accompanied by the Vice Chancellor of UDSM Prof. William Anangisye, the Chief Corporate Counsel Dr. Saudin Mwakaje and other officials.
They visited College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, SUA Model Training Farm, Department of Soil and Geological Sciences, SUA Youth Incubation Center under the auspices of the School of Agricultural Economics and Business Studies, Solomon Mahlangu Campus, APOPO/ Hero Rats and SUA Hospital.

Judge Lubuva used that opportunity to congratulate Sokoine University of Agriculture for continuing its commitment to become the centre of excellence especially in the field of Agriculture. He also commended the long-term historical and developmental relationship which exists between Sokoine University of Agriculture and UDSM and urged all higher learning institutions to collaborate with each other for the development of country.
On his part, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Dar es Salaam, Prof. William Anangisye also commended SUA for the good work done in various research and projects as well as its commitment in offering quality training which produces the best graduates especially in agriculture fields and that the University of Dar es Salaam has learned a lot from SUA’s experience.

At the end, the Vice Chancellor of Sokoine University of Agriculture, Prof. Raphael Chibunda thanked Hon. Judge Damian Lubuva and his delegation for visiting SUA and he also pledged to further the long-term relationship and collaboration between SUA and UDSM.
