The Vice Chancellor of Sokoine University of Agriculture Prof. Raphael T. Chibunda invites the public to the Conference, 60 years after independence, to be held at the Saint Augustine University of Tanzania (SAUT) in Mwanza city on 1st December 2021.
The theme of the conference is ‘The Contribution of the Agricultural Sector to the Development of Tanzania: Achievements and Challenges after 60 years of Independence’.
The conference will involve experienced keynote speakers from academia, political arena and private sector. The small topics that will be presented and discussed are
- Agricultural technologies
- Livestock sub-sector development since independence
- Market for agricultural produce among smallholder farmers
- The history of agricultural policy
- Agriculture and industrial development.
In addition, there will be exhibitions of agricultural technologies and services offered by Sokoine University of Agriculture.
The guest will be Hon. Prof. Joyce Ndalichako, the Minister for Education, Science, and Technology.
