The Sokoine University of Agriculture Hospital has launched a Health Club that aims to help students protect themselves from various diseases such as Malaria, Typhoid and help them understand how to fight drugs while in University.
The event took place on Saturday 29 May 2021 at the Solomon Mahlangu Campus grounds in Mazimbu Morogoro and was graced by the Resident Medical Officer and Head of Hospital Department Dr. Omar Kasuwi
The event also included a bonanza of various sports for students including Sack Race, 100 and 400 Meter Race, Handball, Basketball, Ring, Football and hip hop music.
In addition to the sports and games, there were also a health screenings for various diseases including AIDS, Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Cervical lesion, family planning education and were provided with materials and equipment to help them protect against HIV infections.
