Prof. Anthony Sangeda, the overall Programme Coordinator from SUA
Prof. Anthony Sangeda, the overall Programme Coordinator from SUA said, Universities especially SUA, have gained research capacity in targeted areas including Agroecology, Aquaculture and Agricultural value chain during ten years of implementation. Therefore, there is a need to establish a Centre of Excellence that can connect us, although it will be outside the DANIDA funding, still we have other development donors who are interested in these areas. The centre will give us a chance to collaborate with industry in conducting research that can solve real world problems. We can work together in these three scientific themes being important areas to reduce food insecurity and improve people’s livelihoods.
The workshop continued for a period of three days consecutively, from March 22nd to March 24th, 2023 where the beneficiaries of the programme continued to discuss the success, challenges and impact of the programme to Tanzania for the past ten years under the DANIDA support.
