The NANO COMM project trains dairy farmers in Arusha on livestock health, especially tackling mastitis during the rainy seasons. Simple, affordable, but effective methods are taught to farmers to curb disease, improve milk productivity, and boost the income of livestock keepers.

"Clean cowsheds, regular tick control, and proper milking hygiene make a real difference!" one farmer said. “We didn’t understand why milk production was low, but now we know, and we can act,” shared another.
In Arusha, 50 farmers attended the training, including 18 women (32%) marking an important step toward greater gender inclusion in livestock development.
The initiative is active in 5 regions: Arusha, Tanga, Iringa, Mbeya, and Njombe.
