During his visit Prof. Gabriel was able to visit Animal Referral Hospital which is located at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) Main Campus under the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
 

Prof. Gabriel was highly impressed with activities done at the Animal Referral Hospital which is unique in the country in providing animal diagnostic services.

“I am told this Animal Referral Hospital is for the whole of Tanzania, it is better to inform the public about this Hospital, I am really excited about this and I am grateful to visit SUA”. Said Prof. Gabriel.
 

Prof. Gabriel also had the opportunity to visit various areas of the hospital such as surgery room and laboratory.

Finally, Prof. Gabriel spoke with the University Management and they discussed various issues of interest to both University, Ministry and students. He recommended university to provide more practical knowledge to students rather than theory, to teach Business knowledge particularly on the Veterinary and Animal science sector and to collaborate with the Ministries responsible for Livestock and that of Regional administration and Local Government so as to host SUA students during their field practical trainings.
