Speaking during the presentation of the awards on December 20, 2020, Morogoro Regional Cultural Officer, Ms. Sophia Kingwai said that the awards are a testament to the quality of the work one does in Morogoro region and it shows growth in the Information and Broadcasting Industry.

She also urged broadcasters and media owners to get rid of the notion that awards are only given in Dar es Salaam, but all they have to do is to increase their diligence and effort in their work and the Awards will follow them wherever they are.

For his part, the winner of the awards, Emmanuel Daudi said the competition has been a catalyst in his work and thanked the Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) for trusting him and giving him the opportunity to work in the radio as well as the organizers of the awards.

The awards were organized by Drama Studio in Morogoro region for the first time to compete broadcasters and the winners received the awards as prizes.

The awards included media in the Morogoro region in the categories of Best Announcer of the year 2020 and Best program of the year 2020 and all awards went to Sokoine Agricultural University through its SUAFM radio station which is available in the frequency 101.1 FM
