Annual FoodLAND Project meeting held on 17 - 20 January 2024 in Kampala, Uganda.

On 17-20 January 2024, FoodLAND celebrated its fourth Annual Meeting, which took place physically for the second time in Uganda after the first meeting which was held in Zanzibar, Tanzania. The meeting was hosted, organised by the FoodLAND partner from Makerere University.

The aim of the meeting was to have common understanding of the progress made by the project since when the last meeting was held in  19 – 20 January 2023 on Island of Zanzibar – Tanzania, and to further strategize the implementation of its activities from partner institutions. Since FoodLAND is in active  and critical stage of the last period of the project, where the main objective is to spread all the knowledge generated and all the tools and products developed, tested and validated. This was done with the aim of fostering agricultural production, food diversity and thus improve the nutrition performance of the African countries. 

SUA, as partner in FoodLAND, actively participated by the presence of PI, Prof Nchimbi Msolla with other researchers (Dr Munubi, Dr Mwanri, Dr Ndetto and Dr Suleiman).
