The space will provide to young innovators the training, coaching, and networking to bring their ideas, prototypes, and technologies to the markets hence opening up new opportunities for entrepreneurship and employment for Tanzanian youth.

Started as an idea from the iAGRI through its Innovation Portfolio to turn innovative ideas from the SUA community including students and graduates into agribusiness opportunities that specifically address Agriculture problems.
The initiative aims to link established entrepreneurs and leaders in agricultural enterprises with students and graduates to mentor them and shape their ideas into opportunities for commercialization that meet the needs of smallholder farmers, and supply the agribusiness.
The Future of Tech Talent
After the launching, the work has just begin toward transforming Sokoine University of Agriculture into a new hub for agricultural innovation in Tanzania.
“Tanzania is set to become the 3rd most populated country in Africa by the year 2025. With rising youth unemployment, we can’t wait for agribusiness jobs to open. These talented, young innovators are capable of creating jobs themselves by meeting market demands for new solutions to old problems” stated iAGRI Innovation Portfolio Manager, Dr. Maria N.Mullei.
Generally the organizers of Tech Talent envision that the launched space will become an innovation and idea incubation hub that will spur economic growth and development in Tanzania and East Africa and that will highly support talented youths.
